Cobblestone Quilt Guild Programs

Join us at an upcoming meeting in 2008 for one of these great programs:

  • March 13 - Ed O'Leary will present a program on the use, care, and maintenance of sewing machines; Sheila Moore will present the Community Outreach projects for 2008.

  • April 10 - Machine Quilting Showcase will feature local long-arm and short-arm quilters; Sandra Baker, president of Quilters of South Carolina, will talk about the history of the state guild and its current activities.

  • May 8 - Virtual Tour of Members' Sewing Rooms and Studios

  • June 12 - Lynne Buske of Lexington, SC will lecture on Color Theory. She will teach a class featuring her 4-patch swirl pattern and a class featuring her easy stained glass applique technique.

  • July 10 - Quilt Bingo and Ice Cream Social

  • August 14 - Silent Auction

  • September 11 - Fringe Sisters, of Columbia, SC is
    a cooperative artist's group whose purpose is to support and nurture the individual talents of each member, to provide an atmosphere conducive to artistic risk taking, and to generate interest in fiber art through exhibiting the work of the members.
    They are JoAnn Amidon, Sandra Baker, Lynne Buske, Dee Doebler, Gail Ferrick, Lizzi Guyeska, Saradean Hallman, Teresa Pietras, Linda Vandiver. Several of the members will bring their quilts and talk about them. Some of their work can be found on their website: www.fringesisters.com.

  • October 9 - 25th Anniversary Party

  • November 13 - Ellen Anne Eddy, the author of Thread Magic, will lecture and teach two classes, the topics of which are yet to be determined.
